New Lenses and Glasses in Abuja, Port Harcourt and Ibadan, From Lagos

By McDaves Optical · Updated

Quick answer

You do not need to travel to Lagos. From Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan or anywhere else in Nigeria, you courier your frame to our shop in Lagos Island and send your prescription on WhatsApp. We quote before you pay, fit the new lenses in 2–5 business days, and courier the glasses back. The courier fee depends on your address.

How it works from outside Lagos

The steps are the same in every city. Before you send anything, message us a photo of your frame and prescription on WhatsApp so we can confirm the frame can take new lenses.

  • Send your frame by courier from anywhere in Nigeria, or drop it off at our Lagos Island shop.
  • Send a photo of your prescription on WhatsApp and tell us which lens you want. We quote before you pay.
  • Our partner optician measures, edges and fits the new lenses into your frame.
  • Your glasses come back by courier, or you collect them from the shop. You pay the courier both ways.

How to pack your frame

Abuja, Port Harcourt and Ibadan

Customers in all three cities use the same courier route to our Lagos Island shop.

  • Abuja (FCT): send your frame from any part of the city, including Maitama, Wuse, Garki and Gwarinpa.
  • Port Harcourt (Rivers State): send your frame by courier, then we return the finished glasses to your address.
  • Ibadan (Oyo State): the nearest of the three to Lagos, but the process and timing are the same.
  • Other cities, such as Benin City, Enugu and Owerri: the same steps apply. Ask us on WhatsApp first if you are unsure a courier reaches your area.

How long it takes

New lenses are fitted within 2–5 business days of us receiving your frame and payment. Add the courier time for your frame to reach Lagos and for the glasses to come back to you.

If you order a new frame from our shop instead, delivery outside Lagos takes 2–5 business days after your payment is confirmed.

What it costs

You pay for two things: the lenses and the courier.

  • Lenses: the price depends on your prescription and the lens type, so we quote each job on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
  • Courier: delivery is not free. The fee depends on your address and our courier's price, and we confirm it on WhatsApp before you pay it. You also pay to send your frame to us.
  • Payment is by bank transfer, before we dispatch. We do not offer pay on delivery.

Getting a prescription where you live

We fit lenses to a written prescription; we do not test eyes by post. If your prescription is old or your vision has changed, get an eye test from an optometrist or a hospital eye clinic near you, then send us a clear photo of the new prescription.
